VerdictHub: Where Experience Meets Innovation
VerdictHub was born at the intersection of deep courtroom expertise and groundbreaking technology. And we're not just building technology; we’re scaling the elite, high-touch expertise of one of the world’s leading trial consultants into accessible, actionable intelligence, empowering trial teams everywhere.
Our story begins in 1984 when Robert Hirschhorn, then a young trial lawyer, hired Cathy E. Bennett—one of the pioneers in jury and trial consulting—for what seemed like an unwinnable case. With Cat's help, Robert secured an improbable victory. Turning to Cat afterward, he declared, "You've changed my life. I want to do what you do." That moment sparked a partnership that endured until Cat's passing in 1992.
At that critical crossroad, Robert faced a choice: return to practicing law or carry forward Cat’s visionary work. He chose to continue her legacy. Over the next four decades, Robert refined the art of jury selection and trial preparation, expertly blending instinct, body language analysis, and deep, practical experience to support trial teams nationwide. Robert often remarked, "I have the greatest job in the world—except for all the travel."
Fast forward to 2024. Swarup and Gaurav, deeply immersed in
Generative AI, saw its potential not merely in theoretical
models but in solving tangible, real-world problems. They
envisioned the courtroom as an ideal frontier for innovation.
Around this time, Bloomberg Legal News interviewed Robert on
AI's future in jury consulting. Robert boldly predicted AI would
replace consultants overly reliant on rigid juror profiles,
while emphasizing that genuine jury consulting is fundamentally
about understanding people, nuance, and the human factor.
When Swarup and Gaurav came across Robert’s insights, they
immediately recognized an ideal partner—someone whose vision and
vast experience perfectly matched their ambition to build
transformative AI solutions. Upon meeting, Robert remained
skeptical about whether Generative AI had matured enough to
accurately model juror behavior across various jurisdictions. To
test this, he provided Swarup and Gaurav anonymized data from
past online surveys, outcomes of which had already been
validated by focus groups or trial verdicts.
The results were astonishing. Without access to any information
beyond what survey participants received—and the venue—Swarup
and Gaurav's system provided insights that came remarkably close
to the actual results in terms of apportionment and damages.
That breakthrough led to the creation of Verdict Hub—a fusion of
Robert’s extensive jury consulting expertise with Swarup and
Gaurav’s vision and now their patent-pending AI technology.
VerdictHub represents a new era in jury and trial consulting,
blending human wisdom with technological precision.
